"It was love at first sight when designer Heather Lucas found her nearly 100-year-old Los Angeles home. "We pictured ourselves out front in rockers, watching the sunset in the evening," says Lucas, who shares the house with her husband and their 12- and 13-year-old children.
To make her house a home, every space had to be fun and fresh, she says, "but without anything too precious, so we could live comfortably and not worry that the kids or the dog would ruin anything."
